Today’s match went quite smoothly, which is the way I like it:) My opponent today was Yau Hwa CHAN (USA) who beat Thomas Ellis of New Zealand 21-12 21-15 this morning in order to play me. I was feeling pretty good today on court and was able to soak up all that Yau was throwing at me. When that happens it is pretty difficult to win for the one who is unable to put the shuttle on the floor. I still think we had good rallies and the speed was also quite good its just that I was winning most of the rallies. I ended up winning the match 21-13 21-6. I will be playing against Agus WIJAYA (Denmark) who defeated two players from the U.S. Our match will be at 2.40pm tomorrow.
In other matches Taufik Hidayat (Indonesia) breezed through his first round against Tam NGUYEN (USA) 21-3 21-10. I think a fun match to watch for tomorrow will be between David Snider of Canada and Hock Lai LEE (Malaysia) as well as Martin BILLE LARSEN (Denmark) and Chi Yuan LU (Chinese Taipei).
