Hello my die hard Stephantheman fans. As you can see I am back! I have been laying low this summer, recharging my batteries for this new upcoming season. What better way to start the new season than with the 2010 World Championships! I have not played the World Championships since 2001, even though I was invited last year I had to pull out due to a knee injury at the 2009 U.S Open. This year is quite special since we will be competing in Paris,France. Every time I go to Paris they are always VERY enthusiastic and make playing and watching very enjoyable. Also since I am half French I get to show off in front of my family:)
The draw was released on the 9th of August. I have been drawn up against a familiar foe. I will be playing against Dmytro Zavadsky (Ukraine). We played against each other in the first round of the 2010 Polish International, where on my match point I twisted my ankle but won the match. I hope to have the same success in Paris, however without the ankle twisting:) The World Championships will be taking place from the 23rd to the 29th of August. I hope that everyone is as excited for it as much as I am!
One last note. I made a promise today to someone that this website is alive and strong and that I intend to keep it that way! This blog is for you and this picture is for all my fans to show them that I am alive and well:)
