Well as predicted the two matches I said to look out for were VERY close! However so were most of the matches:) Anand Pawar (India) beat Carl Baxter (England) 18-21 21-17 23-21 and Wei Feng Chong (Malaysia) beat Tommy Sugiarto (Indonesia) 21-19 18-21 21-19. Another awsome match was between Petr Koukal (Czech Republic) against Weijie Gong (China) where Gong narrowly pulled it off 13-21 21-17 23-21. Very exciting stuff!
There will be SO many good matches to watch in the first round tomorrow of the main draw. Here are the one’s I think will be interesting. I believe that Peter Gade (Denmark) vs Simon Santoso (Indonesia) will be a neat one. On one had Peter Gade could win easily but I think Santoso has what it takes to counter the quick Dane. Another cool one will be Sho Sasaki (Japan) vs Przemyslaw Wacha (Poland). These two guys are fast and furious. Wacha is clever and quick while Sasaki is patient and explosive. My last pick will be Chetan Anand (India) vs Andrew Smith (England). This match will be the tall Indian counter puncher vs the lanky and extremely agressive englishman.
