All England Quarter Finals

All I can say for the match between Peter Gade (Denmark) and Taufik Hidayat (Indonesia) is I am glad I did not bet my house! It looks like Taufik won his match relatively comfortably against Gade. Not a surprise of course but I had the feeling that Gade would be too steady for Taufik. But I guess Taufik’s natural badminton talent and instincts came through as it usually does when he is playing well.
No other real upsets happened in the quarter finals. Chong Wei Lee (Malaysia) breezed into the semi’s while Chen Jin (China) had a real barn burner against Sho Sasaki (Japan). That match must have been a real thriller, it ended 14-21 21-13 21-19. Also Lin Dan (China), the best player in the world (in my opinion), alo breezed into the semi finals.
So now its a showdown between Chong Wei Lee (Malaysia) and Taufik Hidayat (Indonesia) in the first semi finals. I think it will be a fantastic match to watch. Hopefully Taufik will bring out some of his magic and most likely Chong Wei Lee (the number one ranked player in the world) will be steady eddy.
In the second Semi Finals I predict that Lin Dan (China) will beat Chen Jin (China) . I think this will be a no brainer since Lin Dan is due.
