Surprise, Surprise…Chong Wei Lee (Malaysia) and Lin Dan (China) will be meeting once again in the Swiss Open Finals. I think it is reasonable to say that these two players ARE the world’s best. It was fun to see that the young Dane Jan O Jorgensen (Denmark) was able to push the Malaysian to 3 sets. It must be a real confidence booster to know that not only are you in the semi finals of one of the biggest tournaments in the world but also that you are pushing the number 1 ranked player in the world. In the end Chong Wei Lee won 21-12 20-22 21-9. On the other side Lin Dan made short work of his compatriot Chen Jin (China) defeating him in two straight sets 21-13 21-14.
Once again I know it is easy to say that Lin Dan will beat Chong Wei Lee in tomorrow’s final. However I am going to put my money on the dark horse. I will say that Malaysia is going to take this one. I hope I am right for the sake of entertainment value.
